From Shanghai, China Works with Photography, Video, Performance, & Sculpture Originally worked in Graphic Design but realized how much she hated it due to the lack of creativity and control on the outcome of work Studied her MFA in New York, then went to University of Memphis, Tennessee to get away from the city

Started out by photographing the landscape and places of Memphis, because of her interest of how different it was to her hometown, They didn't use bright colours where as in memphis it was very apparent and embraced

Moving towards photographing friends/classmates and getting into film

Explored different spaces and the spirit of the space, using herself as a model in her photographs "stills from unseen films" Aimed to make an image that makes you think and imagine a film from that shot, create their own version of the story behind the image

"Experimental Relationship" When she began to use her boyfriend as her model and the growth in photos coming from that. Recording their relationship and exploring imagery that brought forward questions as well as challenged the 'typical' roles in a relationship unintentionally

"Not about the relation to the original image but the inspiration it gives you" on finding inspiration from already made art "For your eyes only" Hint of pornography but rather than turning you on she aims to turn you off
